Latest ATI Linux Video Driver Introduces Full OpenGL 3.0 Support

AMD has just announced a new and improved version of its ATI Catalyst Linux display driver, available for both x86 and x86_64 architectures. ATI Catalyst 9.1 introduces final and stable support for the Ubuntu 8.10 Linux operating system, full OpenGL 3.0 support, Hybrid CrossFire support and Multiview support.

While the support for Ubuntu 8.10 is now in a mature stage, the newly introduced support for Hybrid Graphics delivers to its AMD 780G/780D and ATI Radeon HD 2400/3400 owners a substantial 3D performance boost. But, the most important feature of ATI Catalyst 9.1 is the full support for OpenGL 3.0. The following OpenGL 3.0 extensions have been added in ATI Catalyst 9.1:

Halo 3 Mythic Map Pack has 3 Multiplayer Maps

Microsoft and Bungie Studios has detailed the three new Halo 3 multiplayer maps coming for download under Halo 3 Mythic Map Pack. Mythic Map Pack will be available with Halo Wars Limited Collector's Edition which will release on March 3. These 3 new multiplayer maps are Sandbox, Assembly and Orbital.

Sandbox: This is the biggest of the three multplayer maps packed in Halo 3 Mythic Map Pack. This is a map that Bungie has never crafted before. It will include Forge map editor which will let customize the map according to their own.

Assembly: Not as big as Sandbox but cetainly a good multiplayer map set in the heart of covenant scrap manufacturing facility. It has two identical basis on either side of the map which makes it perfect for the Capture the Flag and Assault game modes.

Orbital: This is the smallest of the three maps of Halo 3 Mythic Map Pack. Good for one sided games like One Flag, and One Bomb but can also support Slayer with hanful of action.

Battlefield 3 May come in 2009

It is not yet officially confirmed and no official details are available for it yet, but people at IGN has speculated that EA DICE will be rolling Battlefield 3 into the war field in 2009 only. They have also stated the reason why EA will be finishing the Battlefield 3 in 2009.

EA has finished off Battlefield: Bad Company and Mirror's Edge which are now out in the market and Battlefield: Heroes is almost close to launch, so DICE unit have enough time to work on Battlefield 3 in 2009. This is all that has been speculated at IGN 2009 Preview.

It will be a followup to Battlefield 2 that was released in 2005. For four years no game has come that can match what Battlefield 2 has offered other than Battlefield 2142. So Battlefield 3 is being looked upon with great speculations which can return the series to popular setting of modern warfare.

Free PS3 Mirror's Edge Time Trial Map Coming Today

Few hours have been left for the release of Mirror's Edge free time trial map which is going to be available exclusively on PlayStation 3. Tom Farrer the producer of the game has talked about it on Playstation blog where he also mentioned the thinking behind it.

He said, "When we started Mirror’s Edge we were working with abstract environments, quick test levels that we threw together so we could mess around with the moves. Then came the game and the more realistic urban settings which were a lot of fun to work with but there was always a little voice in the back of our minds saying, “Remember when you could build any bizarre shape you wanted?”"

Mirror's Edge free time trial map for PS3 is named Synethesia and is the only free map available for PS3 version of the game. There will be more maps releasing in the future under the Pure Time Trial Map Pack which will release in February. All of these maps will be different and will be based on different themes. While some Mirror's Edge mas will include urban settings, mos of them will be focusing on settings beyond the urban gameplay. Developers don't want to restrict the game to urban gameplay only, rather free to move gameplay will be induced.

Lost Planet 2 Under Way

Capcom has made an anouncement confirming next game in the Lost Planet franchise. Though no details about the game has been given by the Capcom, the company arked Lost Plaanet 2 to be in development in an interview to Japanese gaming magazne, Famitsu.

Capcom hasn't given the name to the next game, so for illustation purposes we have used the term "Lost Planet 2". Lost Planet 2 will be available for PS3 and XBox 360 with no announcements for PC yet.

Also the game will have some exclusive content for XBox 360 which we will come to know near the date of release. By the way, Lost Planet 2 will come this year only, may be by the fall of 2009.

Race Pro Demo Releasing Soon

Soon you will get access to Race Pro demo because Atari has now made an announcement regarding launching demo version of the Race Pro. Demo may be released for Europe first and then will come to US because European version of the game will be launching first.

No release date for Race Pro full version has been given for North America though it is confirmed to be February 20 for UK. The game is expected to release sooner in North America after its launching in Europe. The release date has already been put further by a week.

Regarding Race Pro demo no details are available. It is our guess that it will cotain first one or two levels to play. Race Pro demo can come at anytime and hence you should be prepared to download it. Just keep checking this blog to know when Race Pro demo download goes live.

Play Fallout 3 When it Finishes

If you have played Fallout 3 you know it gets ended up soon and there is no way to play the content other than the main story after it finishes. To address this problem, soon Bethesda will be releasing a patch for the game that will let you play Fallout 3 even after your main story ends. You can keep exploring wastelands after you complete the prime story of the game.

This is not a patch rather a DLC that will let you play Fallout 3 further behind the game story. When you download this DLC and apply it to your game then everything will be opened for you to play in Fallout 3. This DLC is currently scheduled for release on PC and XBox 360 only with no current plans for updating PS3 version of the game.

"When the credits roll in “Fallout 3,” the game ends. You might have dozens of unfinished side quests, but unless you boot an old save, you can’t access them. Bethesda Softworks is changing that with “Fallout 3″’s downloadable content, which gives players the ability to keep playing."

This is ultimately a good news for PC and 360 players because they were demanding for such feature from long. Either you play Fallout 3 online or offline, this DLC will be always handy to you.

No Fable 2 Coming on PC For Now

Lots of speculations regarding Fable 2 PC version have been there for past few days. But from now onwards no one will talk about it coming on to PC until Lionhead Studio itself make any statement for Fable 2 coming on PC.

Just recently, Lionhead's community manager Woody has confirmed about not developing any F2 for the PC. He said that they are not working on any port for PC. He further added that if in future any development for Fable 2 PC version starts, they will let you know through their website(s). This means though game is not ported to Windows as of now but you can't deny the possibility of one coming to PC in future.

It has to be noted that original Fable was released a year later on on PC. So no wonders if Fable 2 takes even more than a year. Let's hope that it gets ported to PC as soon as it can.

Sooner or later, first Saints Row 2 patch will be in your hands. Volition has officially made a statement regarding the patch without giving any details about it. Team is currently busy gathering feedback from the community on what basis Saints row 2 patch 1 will be released.

No details regarding the patch has been given by Volition yet. Details are expected to arrive soon after all the data gathering will be over. However it will took a month or more to complete the Saints Row 2 patch and release it for download. We will tell you more on this update when more details come to us.

New GTA 4 Mods coming after Patch

Just a day before yesterday, a GTA 4 PC patch 1.0.2.0 was released which tweaked the memory offsets of the game thus resulting in the broken ASI support. Due to this, all the previously released mods could become incompatible with the game after you apply patch 2 to the GTA 4. Mods released before this patch may get possible recompilation then as no mod will be consistent with the game now.

New mods releasing for the game will be out of the reach of this effect because new GTA 4 mods will be created accordingly. However to undo the effect of patch 2 on previously released GTA 4 mods, you can apply the following solutions as mentioned on multiplayernetwork.

GTA IV Magic Patcher: GTA IV v1.0.2.0 no longer requires you to keep copies of all the game's original files. The new version of the Magic Patcher simply comes with a filelist.pak file which you must use in place of the original. Feel free to delete all your .magic files!

GTA IV ASI Loader: this tool works with v1.0.2.0 now. It comes with just one DLL file which you need to put in your root GTA IV directory. You need this tool to run any script mods that come as ASI or DLL files.

XLiveLess 0.94b: works with both v1.0.1.0 and v1.0.2.0 of GTA IV. If you used XLiveLess for your savegames, they will all be completely functional again once you install this new version.

SparkIV 0.6.0: works with v1.0.2.0 and also allows you to preview and export audio files.

Around a month back we got the first patch for the PC version of the GTA 4 which added lot of changes and improvements to the game. Resistance 2 Patch 1.40 Details

Resistance 2 Patch 1.40 details has appeared on the Plystation blog. Patch 1.40 is an upcoming patch for the Resistance 2 about which we told you few days back. Resistance 2 Patch 1.40 will be made available for download on Monday.

Below are all the changes, fixes and updates to be made by Resistance 2 patch version 1.40 to the game.

Multiplayer Progression

Some people have seen their competitive and/or cooperative characters reset to level 1. For several of those cases, this Resistance 2 patch 1.40 will not only bring back all the XP, stats, and attributes that you’ve lost, but it will also add to your character profile the XP/stats/attributes that you’ve earned since those levels were reset. For example, say you were a level 20 medic and after being reset to level 1, and you earned 5,000 XP. Thanks to the patch, you’ll return a level 20 medic and that 5,000 XP will be added to your profile.

Resistance 2 patch version 1.40 will also correct some medal and trophy issues, including the “Killing Machine” trophy (if you’ve already accumulated 10,000 kills but haven’t received this trophy, it’ll pop up as soon as you download the patch).

New Left 4 Dead Update Released

Another Left 4 Dead update has been released on steam. This is the the third update to the game. This is not a very big update to the game and has fixed few minor exploits only. All the exploits fixed by this Left 4 Dead update are down below:

Fixed an exploit with melee where swapping weapons ignored the intended delay between swings.
In Versus mode, the Tanks' health now reflects the damage he takes from burning.
Fixed an exploit related to the "joinclass" command


Well this Left 4 Dead update is available for download through Steam. When you restart your Steam client, this Left 4 Dead update will get applied to your version of the game. Well there has been two Left 4 Dead PC patch live already.

Halo Wars Demo Details Emerges

Few days ago, we told you about Halo Wars demo coming on February 5 as was confirmed from Microsoft. Now we have got to know more details about Halo Wars demo which is due for release on February 5. Here is all we know about the demo content of the game.


Halo Wars demo is not going to be like any other demo. It will include both single player and multiplayer play. It will include two single player missions and one multiplayer map named Chasms. There are in total 14 multiplayer maps in the Halo Wars full version. Two single player missions will be available in the story mode.

To let you know the game better, there will be optional beginner and advanced tutorials also in the Halo Wars demo. Chasms can be played in skirmish mode against AI who can either play UNSC or Covenant.

You can download Halo Wars demo after it releases on Feb 5 for both Pc and consoles.

Empire: Total War system requirements have been revealed by its developer Creative Assembly. These are the minimum system requirements only revealed for the game. Well Empire: Total War minimum system requirements are given below:

The game is currently scheduled for release in March but the release date may get scheduled further as according to the sources. The post on Xbox Japan has confirmed about Capcom creating downloadable content for Biohazard 5. Downloadable content will not be released in any hurry and will be made available only after total satisfaction. Well it is not confirmed what kind of Biohazard 5 downloadable content will be releasing and whether will be releasing in Japan alone or will also be there for American Resident Evil 5 as Biohazard 5 is usually known in west.

The game is being developed over Unreal Engine 3, the most advanced game engine available and is currently scheduled for summers, 2009. You can play America's Army 3 online as it is online game when it releases by confronting to these system requirements. Most of the games coming these days need support for shader model 3.0 without which there arises graphical performance in the game. However, America's Army 3 graphics are said to be of very high quality so here is a doubt if it could be played on the systems with lower configurations.

Also it might not be possible to play America's Army 3 online on laptops as most laptops doesn't supports configuration as asked by the game. If we go on to buy a laptop that can support America's Army 3 system requirements (recommended) than that is going to cost no where less than $3000. So better play America's Army 3 on PC satisfying these system requirements and doing the upgradation if necessary but to play America's Army 3 online on laptops, it is a big no from me.

World in Conflict: Soviet Assault PC announced for March

Those who were wondering about World in Conflict: Soviet Asault release should get happy now as Ubisoft has announced of releasing it in March. While making series of announcements for its games, company claimed to release Soviet Assault on PC first before it can be ported to consoles.

People were in doubt earlier on whether Ubisoft will release World in Coflict: Soviet Assault after acquiring Massive Entertainment who is the original developer of the game. This expansion to theWorld in Conflict will be available for sale in retail version only. People can buy it either as a part of Complete Edition bundle, or if they already own the oiginal game, can just buy the World in Conflict: Soviet Assault expansion pack without the need of buying the complete bundle.

No words regarding the World in Conflict: Soviet Assault demo were said by Ubisoft. The full game is due for release in March but it is not confirmed whether Soviet Assault demo will be there or not. Also no news came regarding the console versions. Certanly, they ar going to be released after World in Conflict: Soviet Assault releases on PC.

Tom Clany's Endwar for PC Confirmed Finally

After lots of yes and no's, it is finally confirmed that Tom Clancy's Endwar for PC will be releasing soon possibly before the March ends. There has been a lot of unofficial talk over the Endwar PC version but Ubisoft has now officially confirmed that the game will release on PC. The game is already available for play on consoles.

Well Ubisoft delayed Tom Clancy's Endwar for PC several times earlier because of the fear that digital piracy might affect the sales of console version as well. However from time to time, it kept on releasing PC versions of the several of its games after they have been released on consoles. Watch Tom Clancy's Endwar coming to PC before the end of the March. Wait to see if any Endwar PC demo releases ever.

Dawn of War 2 Downloadable Content, Beta talks

It looks Relic is quite serious with Dawn of War 2. Just yesterday it has made gold edition of the game and has now made an announcement on releasing Dawn of War 2 downloadable content within the first few weeks of the games release. It seems if Relic has missed something that it wanted to add in gold edition and is now coming in the form of DLC.

According to Mark Noseworthy, the game producer, as he mentioned on the games community website in a Q&A, there may be a Dawn of War 2 downlodable content (DLC) within the first few weeks of the game release if verything goes according to the plan. He also said that the company is extremely interested in working with Microsoft for releasing several types of premium and free Dawn of War 2 downloadable content through Games for Windows Live Marketplace.

He also talked long about the much awaited Warhammer Online: Dawn of War 2 beta which will begin January 21st but for Soulstorm owners only. For public, beta will be made available to January 28 on Steam as well as Games for Windows Live Marketplace. Dawn of War 2 beta version will run until the game ships to the stores i.e. it will run for almost four weeks until the game launches officially.

On XBox.com has appeared the details for th next Gears of War 2 patch which is expected to be released by the end of this month. This Gears of War 2 patch details has emerged for XBox 360 version of the game only.

The patch will contain 7 new multiplayer achievements with total worth of 175G in the form of combustible and flashback map packs. There will be a Gears of War 2 title update that will fix all the bugs troubling the online game. Along with this, the patch is going to contain many small changes in order to improve the gameplay experience.

Gears of War 2 patchis expected to release before the January passes, may be by the end. No release date information is given regarding the patch till now.

Yet another new patch has been released for World of Warcraft. World of Warcraft patch 3.08 has been released by Blizzard Entertainment just now to update its extremely popular MMORPG with new content, updates and tweaks. World of Warcraft patch 3.08 has fixed tons of crashes and bugs with lot of tweaks applied to game characters, quests, dungeons etc. The list of fixes and updates made by World of Warcraft patch 3.08 is very long so we have listed only general tweaks and updates made to the game below:

* Players may now create death knights on any realm once they reach level 55.
* Bonus Armor: The mechanics for items with bonus armor on them has changed (any cloth, leather, mail, or plate items with extra armor, or any other items with any armor). Bonus armor beyond the base armor of an item will no longer be multiplied by any talents or by the bonuses of Bear Form, Dire Bear Form, or Frost Presence.
* Racial restrictions on mounts have now been lifted. Night elves on mechanostrider? Tauren on raptor? You’re not seeing things.

Final Fantasy XIII Demo Release Date Announced

On 16th April you can get an access to Final Fantasy XIII demo but you have to do little money work to get it. Problem is Square Enix is releasing Final Fantasy 13 demo as a part of Japanese FFVII advent children complete animated film bundle, so to get it you have to first buy the film bundle. FFVII animated film bundle is not cheap anyway but here is a work around which can get you Final Fantasy XIII demo for cheap.

Demo will be available intwo packages. One will be special console bundle that will include Advent Children film, PS3 160 GB and a copy of Final Fantasy XIII demo but that will cost you around GBP 375 which I think you are never going to spend for a demo game and even then when you already have PS3.

So another option is to get Final Fantasy XIII demo with Advent Children film alone which you can get for GBP 44. This option looks betterthan the previous one but is not cheap still. So better buy this package only if you seriously want to play Final Fantasy XIII demo otherwise this will be just a waste of money if FFVII Advent Children Film is not for you.

Initially, Final Fantasy XIII demo version will be released in Japan only, but because children film will be available in English, so there is possibility to play Final Fantasy XIII demo on US and European PS3 consoles. The Godfather 2 Demo Not Planned, Get DLC Instead

If you are waiting for EA to announce The Godfather 2 demo for your Microsoft Windows PC, XBox 360 or PlayStation 3, then shatter your hopes and take a deep breadth into the open air passing by your home because EA has confirmed its plans of not releasing any Godfather 2 demo for PC, laptops, and conoles.

Here is an excerpt of what executive producer Hunter Smith said regarding the game in an interview to CVG.
"As we've just hit final stages now we've got some people working on some DLC,"

From his words, it is pretty much clear that no Godfather 2 demo is going to be there. Instead downloadable content will be there for the game on which development team is working and will be soon released after the game releases on February 27, 2009. However he said that EA don't have any plans to release The Godfather 2 demo at this point (possibility of launching one may lie in future).

He also confirmed of not launching any version of the game for the Wii.

Dark Sector PC Version Confirmed

Dark Sector is a Digital Extremes third person shooter game which is currently available for play on Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. It was released on March 25, 2008 in North America and on April 4, 2008 in Europe. Almost after a year of its release, Dark Sector for PC has also been confirmed which was earlier speculated to be a rumor just.

Nd.ru has confirmed the Dark Sector PC version on their website. Well nd.ru is an Eastern European game distributor that will take all the marketing of this game in Eastern Europe in its hands.

Though not officially confirmed, it is rumored around that Dark Sector PC version is already there in Russia. According to this post at Nvnews forums, Dark Sector for PC is a slightly upgraded version of the consoles with upgraded visuals and consoles. There is also a link to the video at youtube that defines the game play for PC version of Dark Sector. PC version video looks to be pretty good in terms of graphics and controls which confirms Digital Extremes dedication for creating high quality games for PC.

Everything is going well and good for Halo Wars. After getting release date and demo date announcement, a list of 50 minutes original Halo Wars soundtracks has been announced by Ensemble. This list of Halo Wars soundtracks will release on February 17, ten days before the full game release.

The music has been composed by Stephan Rippy whi has composed soundtracks for age of Empires, and Age of Mythology video games. Halo Wars soundracks has been split up into two discs. The second disc contains nine additional bonus soundtracks, nine 5.1 mixes from the music disc, 2 cinematic trailers and one behind the scenes video.

You can wait for February 17 when original Halo Wars soundtracks with mor ethan 50 minutes of sound play launches in retail and as a digital download.

Day before yesterday I told you about Left 4 Dead patch for PC arriving soon and today that patch is live on Steam. This is not just another Left 4 Dead patch but a very critical update to the game. DLC: Fallout 3 Downloadable Content Dated

Bethesda has just recently released new Fallout 3 update for PC. And now the company has talked about coming Fallout 3 downloadable content. Actually this downloadable content was announced long earlier but wasn't dated until now. Now the company has given January 27 fr the release of Fallout 3 DLC.

This Fallout 3 DLC will be an Operation Anchorage map pack which will be available for download on Xbox and PC only through XBox Live Marketplace and Games for Windows Live service. Unfortunately there will not be any Fallout 3 downloadable content for PlayStation 3 because of the exclusive license agreement with Microsoft.

This Fallout 3 downloadable content (DLC) will be available for 800 Microsoft points or GBP 6.80 on both XBox Live Marketplace and Games for Windows Live. This will be a long five hours playable content for which you will be spending 800 Microsoft points. Two more DLC will soon follow Operation Anchorage in February and March. By the way, you can download Fallout 3 downloadable content after January 27 when made available on XBLM and GfWL.

DLC: Mirror's Edge Downloadable Content for PC

It looks as if Electronic Arts is quite hurry in selling more and more copies of Mirror's Edge PC. The game released yesterday and soon a patch was released for it. Now it has made an announcement regarding Mirror's Edge PC downloadable content which is due for January 29 release.

The version released on PC is almost similar to that of console except the addition of new PHYSX game engine which has boosted its graphical performance (and that there wasn't any Mirror's Edge PC demo). This means no new content has been added to Mirror's Edge PC version yet. So that's why EA DICE has announced downloadable content for the game very quickly.

So what will be there in this PC Mirror's Edge downloadable content? Mirror's Edge DLC for PC will be the same time trail Map Pack which is going to be released for its console counterparts. Both the DLC will arrive on same day i.e. on January 29.

Ok, Is this Mirror's Edge PC DLC free? Answer is both yes and no. If you have pre-orderd the PC version then you will get downloadable content for Mirror's Edge free, else you have to pay $10 to download this time trial map pack.

Mirror's Edge Update 1.01 Patch Released

A very first patch update has been released for Mirror's Edge PC version. EA has released Mirror's Edge update 1.01 a day after the game was released for PC. This is not a very big patch update but is just a freezing issue fix.

Many users reported potential freezing issue on their machines when Physx is enabled. To address that problem EA released Mirror's Edge patch 1.01. This Mirror's Edge update is for all versions of the game including US, UK, German etc except for the Japanese and the Korean version. Fallout 3 Update 1.1.0.35 Patch (PC) Download

A new Fallout 3 update version 1.1.0.35 has been released by its developers Bethesda thus updating the game to version 1.1.0.35 from the current version installed on your computer. Several new features have been introduced and many bugs have been fixed by this patch update.

First of all, trophy support has been introduced in the game by this Fallout 3 update version 1.1.0.35. No Dead Space PC Demo Released

After waiting a long for Dead Space PC demo, what I got is "big nothing". I thought there would be Dead Space PC demo as there was one released on the XBLM but it looked as if EA wasn't anymore interested in releasing the demo version after having it launched for the one platform. I don't exactly know why there hasn't been any Dead Space demo for the PC, but whatever the reason may be, one thing is confirmed that there will not be any demo version for the PC version of the game.

EA has put digital download of free Dead Space full version on Steam which you can download by using free service to download premium games and free games digitally but sadly no Dead Space PC demo that EA could think of releasing.

Question is why the discrimination between the two versions of the same game. If there could be free Dead Space demo for XBox then why not for PC. Doesn't EA believes in giving equal value to all the versions of the same game. Then EA shouldn't have released any demo for XBox and PX3 as well.

It is useless to talk about Dead Space PC demo now as it is never going to reease now. However I suggest EA to release demo version Dead Space 2 if it is planning to develop the next game in the series.

Left 4 Dead Update Arriving

Soon Left 4 Dead update will be in your hands. Chet Faliszek of Valve has confirmed a new Left 4 Dead update which is to arrive soon (as soon as possible) though not given the final date of the patch. This is not going to be any simple update for the game. This Left 4 Dead update will contain all the bug fixes that has to be in the game, not leaving even a single one.

Well an update for the game was demanded by the community from the long time, and it seems now that the day is far near when this Left 4 Dead update will arrive. A minor Left 4 Dead patch update has already been released but users were looking for some major fix to the game, which looks to come out by the end of the month, may be earlier.

Regarding the update, not many details have arrived, but one thing is clear that the patch won't be the same for the PC and Xbox versions. Both of these platforms will get independent Left 4 Dead update and only Left 4 Dead DLC will be simultaneous. Talking about the delay caused for the Patch, Chet explained it as Valve's own fault and said that it has nothing to do with Microsoft. Final date for the patch update is not given yet. Resistance 2 Patch to Come Soon

Resistance 2 patch is currently under development and will be launched soon after its development completes. According to a post on official forums, soon next Resistance 2 patch will come out. No details about the patch has been given yet but he promised to give more details about the Resistance 2 Update as soon as made available.

However in a reply to a thread, Bryan mentioned that this patch will fix stats bugs but didn't confirmed about the killing machine bugs asked by the community member. However he instated that they are aware of killing machine bug but could not confirmed its fix.

He hasn't given any release date and list of fixes to be made by this Resistance 2 patch update. Tomb Raider Underworld Downloadable Content (DLC) appears Jan 21

Update: Tomb Raider Underworld downloadable content has been officially dated and will be released in lots of two. First one i.e. Beneath the Ashes will release on February 10 and the other one, Lara's shadow is due by March 10. So there will be no Tomb Raider DLC for January 21.

According to what is written in the article on Gamestop, Tomb Raider Underworld Expansion token Pack is available for $19.99. FEAR 2 PC Demo - Will it be there?

When demo for PS3 was announced to be released in the middle of January days ago, many started believing that no demo is going to be there for Fear 2 PC version. But this belief is out of minds of pepole after Monolith's Community Manager confirmed of having it played himself. Warner Bros., the game publisher, has still not officially confirmed any FEAR 2 PC demo but the demo is certainly going to be there as reported by Community Manager.

He obliged to tell what is going to be there in FEAR 2 PC demo but told that it will come out anytime by the end of January. Actual release date was not given because of marketing/pr strategy but both consoles and PC demo will come out by the same time. This means console demo has gotten delayed for release by the end of January along with FEAR 2 PC demo.

He further stated that he himslef played the FEAR 2 PC demo and felt quite comfortable while playing it. He promised about posting more about the FEAR 2 PC demo when he is able to do so.

Well FEAR 2 full version is all set for release on February 10, so you can expect demo to be launched not later than by the end of January. We will update you on FEAR 2: Project Origin PC demo as soon as we come to know more about it.

Demo Content for Killzone 2 Rumored

Sony has announced European public version of the Killzone 2 demo but hasn't yet talked about public demo for North America. People have started believing that no Killzone 2 demo will be releasing publically for North America but in fact there will be American demo version as well that will be released after the Killzone 2 full version releases on February 27.

Well what I am now to talk about is what's going to be there in the game's demo version. Neither Sony nor Guirella Games has talked about Killzone 2 demo content yet. But according to this post at Playstation Forums, the demo version is going to be equipped with first stage of Conrith River and som multiplayer maps. It is not revealed how many multiplayer maps but were confirmed by the user to be there in the game.

According to the guy, he talked with some one who had access to the demo and siad this on his behalf. The content is not confirmed officially yet. So these are just blatant rumors being spread over th Internet as of now unless or until the content in the Killzone 2 demo comes out to be same.

Fable 2 bug fix patch is live now. It is a big title update bug fix patch for the game with all the required functionalities. This patch fix has come at a time when Fable 2 downloadable content of knothole island is also due for release within few days.

X-Blades System Requirements, Release Date Revealed

X-Blades System Requirements have been revealed by the developers Gaijin Entertainment which has also announced its release date. X-Blades release date is set for February 28, 2009 for all the three platforms: PC, PlayStation and XBox 360. The game was earlier expected to be released on February 10 but now the official and final release date has come for the game.

Well X-Blades system requirements are not so high and hence can be played on P4 computers also. However there have been both minimum system requirements and recommended system requirements for thegame which I believe you should read before buying the game so that you come to know whether you can play X-Blades on your PC or not.

X-Blades minimum system requirements asks for Pentium 4 class 1.5GHz processor or higher. 256MB o installed RAM and minimum 5Gb of free hard disk is required. You will also need 128MB graphics card such as ATI Radeon 9600 graphics card or Nvidia Geforce 600 graphics card.

Recommended system requirements are 3GHz P4 processor with 1GB or RAM and 5GB free hard disk space, and 256MB graphics card such as Radeon X180 or Nvidia Geforce 7600 graphics cards.

Well these were the X-Blades system equirements both minimum and recommended. You must adhere to minimum system requirements at least if you want to smoothly play X-Blades on PC. These system requirements are for PC version only. Console versions will be preconfigured.

Now when release date is confirmed you have to wait until February 28 when you can play X-Blades on PC, XBox 360 and on Playstation 3. No news regarding X-blades demo is available yet. We will tell you what we all we hear regarding X-Blades demo after you subscribe to our games feeds.

Patch 1.08 Coming for LittleBigPlanet

CVG has reported about new patch incoming for LittleBigPlanet. Patch 1.08 (though not called directly but it is quite understood) will be released soon for the game so that all those issues that were left by Patch 1.07 should get fixed.

Media Molecule released patch 1.07 for the game but that wasn't enough to fix all the crashes and the bugs. Another patch is being demanded by players and Media Molecule is presently working on releasing LittleBigPlanet patch 1.08 exactly to address those issues.

Well this news is also officially confirmed by Mark Valledor, marketing manager of SCEA. Most common issues to be fixed by this LittleBigPlanet patch 1.08 are regarding save data and DLC. It is not sure if "full profile message" issue will get fixed by this patch update or not. Anyway temporary fix has been told by Mark for this issue.

Though there was no Endwar demo but Ubisoft has shown its dedication by providing the downloadable content for the game. Tom Clancy's Endwar DLC is out now and you can download it from XBox Live Marketplace and from Playstation Network for your respective consoles.

You will get Faction Elite Pack as an Endwar downloadable content. This Fation Elite Pack features three battalions and six unit upgrades. Three new battalions are JSF 15 Special Operations, the Spetsnaz Alpha Brigade and the Enforcer Corps Battlegroup. Caseless Ammunition for the European Federation's Gunships and Ceramic Armour for the Spetsnaz Guard Brigade are few among the six units that have been upgraded and provided by this Tom Clancy's Endwar DLC (downloadable content).

Rome: Total War Mac Coming

Rome: Total War, a game more than four years old, which is so famous on PC, will soon find its way on Mac. Feral Interactive has taken the charge to bring Rome: Total War Mac version which is due for release in March this year.

Well if you don't know Feral Interactive (developers of Empire: Total War), let me tell you that this is the company which is trying to create Mac versions of several old games by porting them to Mac. Soon you will be presented with Mac version of Rome: Total War. Mac version will be priced at $29.99 and might be available for download. Well the version you will get will be the gold edition which will include Barbarian Wars expansion as well.

The 2004 PC version was developed by Activision and Rome: Total War demo version was also released for PC. Hope Rome: Total War demo comes for Mac as well.

Mass Effect 2

No official news about Mass Effect 2 is available yet but many games news sites are reporting about it being in development. One such news has come from BigDownload which is saying that they got a know of the game prior to the beginning of the Game Developers Conference from GDC website.

There's going to be 60 minutes lecture on level design of Mass Effect 2 by project manager Corey Andruko and lead designer Dusty Everman. There is still no confirmation from Bioware but if GDC has reported this then it certainly would be.

Well this means Mass Effect 2 is presently under development and soon is going to be revealed at the Games Developers Conference. What we still know about the game is that just like Mass Effect, it is going to be a single player title that will be released for both PC and XBox 360. No Mass Effect 2 release date has been given yet and you can expect the release date to be given at Games Developers Conference taking place at San Fransisco soon.

Update 1: Bioware is presently busy fixing problems occuring in the Mass Effect 2. The company is aware of all the technical and other problems associated with the game and is presently engaged in rectifying those problems by going at the root. Fable 2 Downloadable Content Due Next Week

You will be able to download Fable 2 downloadable content on January 13 when it will arrive on XBox Live Marketplace. The downloadable content was reported by many games news sites and now Lionhead has officially dated the Fable 2 DLC. This is a global release date for the downloadable content.

Fable 2 downloadable content (DL) will cost 800 Microsoft Points. If you don't have these much of points in your account then you can aso buy the DLC for GBP 6.80 or equivalent Euros. Well Lionhead will be giving free content update to the gamers if not the free Fable 2 DLC on Live. Players can download this content update even if they don't buy and download DLC. This Fable 2 free download update will give access to 50 new leaderbords on Lionhead.com.

Well there is also a premium theme available for Fable 2 downloadable content that can be downloaded for 250 Microsoft Points. Rumors are Fable 2 PC version is all ready for release in February but the news is still not confirmed officially.

Halo Wars Demo - Download February 5

One of the most anticipated games of the 2008, for which very less is known yet is all set for roll out as a demo on February 5, on my birthday. Halo Wars demo is confirmed for February 5th release by Robbie Bach of Microsoft who also that full version will be releasing on February 28, earlier than that expected.

Well with the release of Halo Wars, Ensemble Studios era will be shut forever as the studio is going to be closed after it, as announced by Microsoft few months back. Well if you have access to XBox live then you can download Halo Wars demo on February 5. The demo is releasing in all regions on the same day, so it is not like this that if you live in Japan, you will be given earlier access to Halo Wars demo. Everyone is treated equally as far as Halo Wars demo is concerned. But regarding the full game, Japanese will be presented with Halo Wars full version two days before their American counterparts.

Wait until February 5 when you can wish my on my Happy Birthday and will get Halo Wars demo as a return gift from Microsoft.

STALKER Clear Sky Patch 1.5.08 Download

Another patch has been released for Stalker Clear Sky full version. Stalker Clear Sky patch 1.5.08 will change your version of game from 1.5.07 to 1.5.08. Ghostbusters coming June 16, Ghostbusters on Blu Ray

Ghostbusters video game has been given a date now. You can get the game on or after June 16, no matter you can pre-order it also. But the actual game will be delivered on or after June 16. Ghostbusters video game is available for PC, PS2,PS3 XBox 360, DS and Wii. All these versions are set for June 16 release.

You can play Ghostbusters video game in both single player andmultiplayer versions after it releases. The voices in the game have been featured from the original Ghostbuster actors scripted by Dan Aykroyd and Harold Rumis. Ghostbusters PC version will be handled by Terminal Reality who will be handling 360 and PS3 versions. Red Fly Studio is appointed for PS2 and ii versions while DS version will be handled by Zen Studio.

Ghostbusters video game will not be available as a digital download. However Sony confirmed its release on Blu Ray along with DVD. DS game card and Wii optical disc. Ghostbusters demo news is not given yet. Sony has also launched original 25 years old version of the game on Blu Ray.

Well we will tell you if any Ghostbusters demo come out there. It is sure no digital download will be provided, if the one comes ever, we willlet you know that too.

Ubisoft Announces Grey's Anatomy

Hit ABC medical soap Gey's Anatomy is soon going to be converted into video game. Ubisoft has taken the charge to make game out of the soap but with all new storyline. Storyline will not be the same as is in game so don't expect you can hook up with your partner just as is in the medical soap aired on ABC.However, player would e allowed to perform delicate surgeries and treat patients just as is in the original opera.

Grey's Anatomy is presently under development and no information about its release date has been given by Ubisoft yet. The game is expected to be available for PC, Nintendo Wii and Nintendo DS. Not sure is it will be releasing for XBox 360 and PlayStation 3.

Skate 2 Demo on XBox Live Tomorrow

Few days back I told you about EA releasing Skate 2 demo on January 8. Well tomorrow is the 8th January hence you can download Skate 2 demo free on XBox Live Marketplace. For PS3, the demo will be arriving on January 15 on PSN, so you have to wait in order to download Skate 2 free demo for PS3.

This demo will allow you to play a slice of single player storyline only. However you will be allowed to massively customize your characters and try out few challenges in the demo version of Skate 2. Chance are two multiplayer levels may get included in this free Skate 2 demo version for both XBox 360 and PS3.

Saints Row 2 PC Download on Steam Delayed

Update January 8: Saints Row 2 PC has been delivered on Steam now. You can buy the full version download from Steam. Saints Row 2 full version download is also available through Direct2Drive but you require Steam client istalled in order to activate it.

Original: Well Saints row 2 PC version is in stores now but its download through Steam has just been delayed. Saints Row 2 PC has been released on January 6 and is available in all the leading game stores and through resellers like Amazon but its digital version has just been simply postponed.

Saints Row 2 PC was to release on Steam in conjunction with its retail release but because there were some issues with the Steam Client, so the digital download just could not be released. THQ said that there are some issues going over with the Steam client which prevented them from launching Saints Row 2 download through it. Hopefully these issues will be resolved soon and you can download full version through Steam soon. But what about demo? Saints Row 2 demo download will not be there.

Those who have bought PC version in retail can still activate the game through Steam because the client is capable of handling DRM requests, anyway. The price for retail version is $39.99 but the price of Saints Row 2 PC full version download through Steam is not yet available. It is going to be nowhere less than he retail price of the game. I think Saints Row 2 PC full version download price on Stem will be available after the full version releases on Steam. There is no Saints Row 2 free full version. So don't try to find free Saints ow 2 full version download.

Dawn of War 2 System Requirements Revealed for PC

Warhammer 40K: Dawn of War 2 is a sequel to the Dawn of War which is set for release on PC on February 27, 2009. You can download Dawn of War 2 after February 27 when it releases. The gam eis available excluively for Microsoft Windows based PC. It isn't going to be released for PS3, XBox 360 and other platforms.

Well Warhammer 40: Dawn of War 2 system requirements have been revealed by Relic Entertainment who is developing the game. Both minimum system requirements and reommended system requirements have been revealed. Atleast, you know now if your system supports to play Dawn of War 2.

Dawn of War 2 minimum system requirements for PC are:
Windows XP SP2 or Windows Vista SP1
P4 3.2 GHz (single core) or any Dual Core processor
1 GB RAM (XP), 1.5 GB RAM (Vista)

Don't confuse DoW2 with Warhammer Online as both these are different games. If you are planning to play Warhammer Online also then you can check Warhammer Online system requirements so that you come to know if your PC will support it or not. You can play Dawn of War 2 in both single player and online cooperative modes.

Bioh4zard 2 - Resident Evil 2 Campaign in Progress

You have heard of Resident Evil 2 and you know Biohazard 2 is another name for the game. But have you heard of Bioh4zard 2? Are you thinking that I have put wrong spellings? Well this is not a spelling mistake. Bioh4zard 2 is a new campaign being created for Resident Evil 2 by independent designer Zac with assistance from jonmag.

The (Bioh4zard 2) campaign places the four survivors on the abadoned streets of Racoon City after a truck crashes into their car. You head on foot to the police station in hope of rescue. Upon entering the station you recieve help from an injured cop who points you in the direction of the sewers to escape the infested city, however the 4 survivors soon end up discovering the reason behind the infection when they come across a top -secret high tech research facility owned by the 'Umbrella' Corporation.

Well on my first look, I also thought that Biohazard 2 is being misspelled but I was wrong. by the way, what is the fun of releasing new campaign after such a long time. Will the campaign find Resident Evil 2 players. If yes, then how many of them because of them will be busy with Resident Evil 5 PC version and console version.

Sony Releasing Killzone 2 Demo for Europe

According to Eurogamer, Sony will be releasing Killzone 2 demo for Europe as well after confirming it for North America. Unlike American Killzone 2 demo which will be available exclusively through Gamestop to pre-ordeers, the European demo will be released through Playstation Network and will be available to every one who have access to Playstation Network.


Neither Killzone 2 demo nor full version exact release dates are yet known. The game will be releasing in February but exact release date is still not announced by Sony. Sony also didn't talked about what is going to be there in European version of Killzone 2 demo. It is not sure that the demo will be releasing pre game release or post game release. But as stated on Eurogamer, Killzone 2 demo for Europe can be expected before the full game release. This means that European demo will also release somewhere near to American demo because both will be releasing before the full game releases, then.

Regarding Killzone 2 US demo, though it is to be available exclusively through Gamestop to those who pre-orders the game, an informer told ps3fanboy that Sony has plans of releasing Killzone 2 demo on PlayStation Network for US also after the full game releases officially.

Next Gears 2 Update Coming Soon

Soon you will be presented with next Gears 2 update. Mark Rein of Epic Games has given details about the next Gears of War 2 update which is expected to arrive this month sooner or later. He further detailed about the patch by telling about the fixes and tweaks going to be in it. Major focus of this coming Gears 2 update will be on online issues and they are trying to fix each and every issue pertaining to online play. Also updates to the achievements section will also be there in this Gears 2 update.

Regarding the client side fixes, he said that shotgun latency and accuracy will be better now as the bugs have been fixed. This Gears 2 update will address almost all the online bugs and issues and also the issues regarding the Gears 2 downloadable content.

Well this is just a small list of fixes, tweaks and issues being fixed in upcoming update. More regarding the Gears of War 2 update will be posted soon as they are made available. Actual release date of this update is not yet finalized but it is confirmed that it will release this month only. BTW, there has been one patch update for the game. Beta registrations are open now for Masthead Studios Sci-fi MMORPG Earthrise. Earthrise is a massively multiplayer online role playing game set in the post-apocalyptic world. The game was released on January 23, 2008 and will e releasing anywhere in the first quarter of 2009. The final release date is not set yet.

One of the biggest feature of Earthrise MMORPG is that it can be played offline too. Though this offline gameplay is optional but it provides great benefits to the gamers in terms of scientific education, job search and other fields. Well the game is based on the conflict between two major factions. These two major factions are Continoma, the totalitorian government and the Noir, a rebel group. Along with these two major factions, there are many small other factions in the game supporting either of the group in one or another way.

Every AvCom mission in the game has been updated to work with the new system.

We've substantially changed the way boarding works. Instead of having 6 or 9 boarding members, you have 4 or 5. Boarding party members are also 1 level lower than their respective captains, and you have more waves of reinforcements than before.

Initiative now starts at 100, and regenerates constantly.
Balance is now Guard, and regenerates at a slow pace. Your Guard represents your ability to avoid injuries, similar to the armor on your ship.

Bionic Commando PC Version After PS3, 360 Release

Capcom's upcoming title Bionic Commando is set for PC release soon after its release on PS3 and XBox 360. Bionic Commando PC version will follow the release of the game on console platforms and will be released shortly after the release on PS3 and XBox 360. Whereas earlier, Capcom always hesitated on commenting on the Bionic Commando PC version release but now everything is cleared regarding the release of the ame except its release date which is not given yet.

According to Capcom, "Bionic Commando will be initially available for gamers on Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and Sony Computer Entertainment's PLAYSTATION 3 with the PC version following shortly afterwards". By the way Capcom has the history of releasing PC versions after the console version by just delaying them, to which Bionic Commando PC is no exception at all.

Anyway wait for the more Bionic Commando PC version and other game related news coming your way. Few months back Bionic Commando Rearmed was released which is now sensed nowhere. Is the same going to be happened with this game as well.

Crayon Physics Deluxe PC Coming Wednesday

Some of you might be playing this game but those of you who haven't played the game yet can get Crayon Physics Deluxe edition for their PCs which is releasing on Wednesday, January 7. The game can also be played on Tablet PC and is already available for iPhone. But those interested in playing it on PC, can get Crayon Physics PC deluxe edition a day after tomorrow.

Well Crayon Physics Deluxe is an indie game developed by Petri Purho, a Finnish game designer, where player has to move a 2D ball from one point to another on screen drawing crayon like structures with the help of mouse if on PC or with stylus when on tablet PC.

Left 4 Dead Fix - Freezing Issue Fix

If you are playing Left 4 Dead, then this issue might be annoying you just as it is annoying this guy at techworldwide.net. Well what is this issue at all?

An issue named freezing issue has occured in the game which freezes your gameplay and plays the same loop of sound again and again while the game remains freezed. This is a very critical issue which if not at all, has many copies of the game in its web. Suppose you start playing Left 4 Dead and you are playing through very important level, but certainly game freezes thus hampering you from proceeding further. Will you like this at all? Never, so that is why I am calling this issue very critical. But you don't have to worry as there is a fix available for this particular issue.

Well I haven't played Left 4 Dead yet, so not sure about the working of this fix, but according to the inventor this Left 4 Dead fix works very well without any hindrance to the game. What you have to do to fix Left 4 Dead from freezing sound loop issues is to go into options>video>advanced settings>MULTICORE RENDERING and disable multicore rendering there. According to the poster, disabling multicore rendering will not affect the performance of the game, instead you can play Left 4 Dead much smoother than before by implementing this fix. This Left 4 Dead fix given here is for GeForce users, hence I am not sure if it will work for Radeon users as well.

Resistance Retribution Demo Access, Preorder Full Game

Amazon, the premium game reseller is offering an early access to Resistance Retribution demo to those who preorders the ull game from it befor January 12th. What you have to do to get Resistance Retribution demo is to visit Amazon's game page given at the bottom and then order the game from there before it actually releases. You will be then given an exclusive access to the demo version of the game.

This Resistance Retribution demo will be a treat to Resistance 2 players as well because of its connectivity with the game. Similar to compatibility between Nintendo DS and Wii, you can play PSP games on PS3 as well, but you will be presented with different storyline here called "infected mode". You will require USB cable to connect both the consoles and then the game can be unlocked in Resistance 2 option menu.

Well this Resistance Retribution demo through Amazon is available only in areas where Amazon US ships, so it is a sad news for those living away of the shipping territories of Amazon US where Resistance Retribution demo can not reach, as of now. Trick is to ask your relatives living in US region to get the full game for you and you will get access to Resistance Retribution demo as well for you PSP.

Ghajini video game is being developed by Eros Entertainment in conjunction with FX labs, one that developed the Dhoom video game and were left with nowhere after it. Well the whole Ghajini game project costed around rupees 30 million and is hence being looked as a supplement to the movie which has already done business of billions in the first week of its opening.

Ghajini: The Game could have come a month prior to the movie release, but developers seemed to be in no hurry to launch it without getting the response of audience. Now the response to the Ghajini game is as good as is to the movie, developers seems to be quite confident of its success. Is next Lego game going to be around Rock Band? If we go by Videogaming247, then Lego Rock Band will be next game in the Lego series of games. After making lego versions of Indiana Jones, Batman, Star Wars etc, Rock Band will be the next game to get this honor.

Well this is just rumor and nothing official is confirmed yet. Traveller Tales is the developer of PC lego games and source that reported VG247 about Lego Rock Band reports its news to be 100% correct that TT will be developing it. We are not confirmed about this news yet, so no speculations from us regarding he game yet.

Way of the Samurai 3 XBox 360 Version Coming

An exclusive PS series is heading for XBox 360 now. Way of the Samurai 3, the third installment in the franchise made exclusively for PlayStation 3 is paving its way for the release on big Microsoft console. Spike has announced its plans of making Way of the Samuarai 3 XBox 360 version and is due for release in February. The game will be initially releasing in Japan on February 26 and later on will be distributed in American market as well.

Way of the Samurai 3 (WotS3) for Xbox 360 will include lot of customizations as revealed by Spike, the developer of the game for X360. Being ported to 360 doesn't means that everything in the game will be same. Many new things will get added to the game and bad old things will be removed from it, may be. At least there going to be changes in graphical performance of both the versions of the game, if nothing more.

It is to be noted that more than 81,000 units were sold in the first week of its release in Japan for PS3. Let us see now how much units of Way of the Samurai 3 XBox 360 version gets sold in its initial week. Could it break the PS3 sales or will be just an addition to it? Only time will tell.

Meanwhile no announcement regarding Way of the Samurai 3 demo for XBox 360 has been made yet. If any news regarding WotS3 demo comes, we will tell you. Well if a PS3 exclusive game can get ported to another console platform, then why not for PC. Patch: Gravitron 2 Update

Gravitron 2 update has been released. Gravitron 2 patch is available for download through Steam. The update will be applied automatically when you restart your Steam client.

No big changes have been made to the game by this Gravitron 2 patch release. It has just added 15 new levels to the game, thus making the gameplay larger than before. Earlier there were 40+ stages in the game but now the numbers have crossed 55+ levels.

You don't need to follow any link to download Gravitron 2 update. It will be applied automatically when you restart your Steam client and play the game.

No Lord of the Rings: Conquest PC Demo

LoTR: Conquest Demo on Live Now, For PS3 also

Lord of the Rings: Conquest is one of the most anticipated games of 2009 which is due for January 13 release. Being developed by Pandemic Studios and to be published by Electronic Arts, LOTR: Conquest demo for XBox 360 and PS3 has been released as of now. No Saints Row 2 Demo for PC

Despite of earlier assumptions made for Saints Row 2 PC demo, it is now believed that no demo is going to be released. Only three days are left for the game release now and no trial game syptoms are shown by THQ. It is absolutely believed that no Saints Row 2 demo for PC version of the game will be there.

If there is not going to be any SR2 demo, there will be downloadable content for the game. Volition has confirmed Saints Row 2 PC downloadable content to be released soon after the game. The game is going live on January 6 for PC and you can play it after that.

For now shatter your hopes for Saints Row 2 PC demo and get prepared to download full version of the game from Direct 2 Drive, Steam etc so that you can play it on your PC.

You can play God of War 3 in single player only and in full high definition resolution. It may be that co-operative mode get added to the game, but it is yet not confirmed. The game supports sixaxis tilts and vibrations. It is believed that it also supports Dualshock 3. The tagline used for the game is "In the end, there will be only chaos" and this tagline is well understood from the trailer released in July last year.

Well regarding God of War 3 demo no news is available. Hope there should be playable God of War 3 demo as was for Chains of Olympus.
