Myst 5: End of Ages is a single player adventure game developed by Cyan Worlds and published by Ubisoft. It is the fifth game in the Myst games series. The game is also the final release of the series. Myst 5: End of Ages was released on 20 September, 2005 in North America and three days after in Europe. The game is available on Windows and Mac platforms only. Myst 5 is developed on Plasma Engine. The game does not include any multiplayer mode.

Myst 5: End of Ages includes the storylines of all the previous versions of the game. The plot is set at sometime later than Uru: Ages Beyond Myst. The game focuses on the Bahro storyline of Uru primarily even though Myst 5: End of Ages makes large number of references to previous versions of the game. Story revolves around two characters: Yeesha and Esher. Player’s role is to unlock the tablet through the exploration of four different ages. Tablet is an artifact that has the ability to control the Bahro. Myst 5: end of Ages also includes one new character Calam, a D’ni writer who unfortunately is murdered prior to the Myst events.

Myst 5 unlike other games of the Myst series renders real time 3D play. However, the cost was paid in the form of poor graphics and details. But the developers were able to provide interactive 3D animated environment to the game. Now with new high graphics Plasma Engine, Myst 5: End of Ages delivers very high quality graphics to the viewer. Players can play end of Ages either through one-button mouse, or though panoramic environment or by using an Advanced Mode. Myst 5: End of Ages also has one journal mode that contains photographs of locations to be captured and notes to be written.
